Outside of tax season work, I enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, and various outdoor activities.
I love working with my hands, and my house is in a perpetual state of remodeling.
I spent 8 years starting at age 47, training, dieting and competing in bodybuilding shows where I learned a whole lot about dedication, discipline and deprivation :).
WORK AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
Accounting professional with over 25 years of experience.
Most of those years I worked as the Accounting Manager for an offshore crane manufacturing company.
Led a team in relocating the accounting department from Houston to Mobile, Alabama.
Responsible for implementing and training staff on a new company-wide ERP system.
Holds a Bachelor’s degree from Troy University in Computer Science and Accounting.
Served the last four years as a seasonal tax professional.
Took a break from accounting for a few years to serve as an Event Director for Professional Bodybuilding competitions where I utilized organizational and project management skills to produce highly successful events.
