Meet Karen Hicks

In the Summer of 2021, when I decided to move my CPA Firm out of my home to an outside office, in July 2021 she came to work for us Year-Around when our new office opened up that Summer.

GENERAL

• I have been married to the love of my life David for 5 ½ years. Our family grew from my 3 sons, 3 daughter-in-law’s and 4 precious grandkids to include David’s son, daughter-in-law, 2 daughters and 2 more precious grandkids.
• I have lived in Bartlett my entire life.  We actually remodeled and moved back to the house I grew up in.
• I have been an active member of New Hope Christian Church (formally Raleigh Christian Church) for my entire life.  I was a high school youth sponsor for 15 years and loved every minute of it!
• The things I enjoy the most are spending time with family & friends, and working in my yard & flowerbeds.

WORK AND RELATED EXPERIENCE

• I have over 30 years of experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping
• I have been a QuickBooks Pro-Advisor for 3 years
• I started working with QuickBooks and local small businesses over 5 years ago. My goal became finding ways I could contribute my experience and knowledge to come along side and assist small business owners in their accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities.
• I worked in the corporate environment for 25 years.  The majority of my career has been on the accounts receivable side which included Invoicing, Cash Applications and Deduction Resolution.  I began as an accounting representative working my way to supervisor and then to manager.
